What will the height rule be for EFC20009 ?
From October 2008, NAFA changed their rules on petition by the membership so that the jump height for a dog would now be the dog's height at the withers less 5 inches (12.5cm).
At the end of 2008, the BFA committee put the same rule change to a postal vote of the members - and this was carried by a huge majority. The new rule came into effect from January 2009 - so at BFA tournaments many teams are now jumping an inch lower than they were last year.
I haven't seen any discussion about this on the BFB web forum, and the BFB rule-book defines that 10cm (4 inches) is deducted from the dog's measured height.
So - is there any plan to adopt the new height rule for EFC2009 - or will we be running on the old height rule?
Thanks,

As I understand it, The BFB has followed Nafa regarding the change in height rules and
for the europeans the 5" rule will be used, but as it is metric, it will be the 12,5 cm rule |
